Italy edged Romania by 0.1 in a thrilling team final Saturday at the European Championships in Volos, Greece. Third after preliminaries, Italy turned in a consistent performance highlighted by Vanessa Ferrari’s floor routine. The Romanians turned in the highest scores on balance beam and floor, but had an otherwise disappointing competition.
